Hi, I am Maya Alvarez. Come hungry.
I opened Honey & Rye Cafe because I wanted a place in Brooklyn, NY where the bread is baked on site, the coffee is made with care and nobody rushes you out. I am usually behind the counter, flour on my apron, ready to say good morning.

Do you take reservations?
Yes for groups of 4 or more, mostly for weekend brunch. Smaller parties are walk in, and the front window seats go fast. Call or use the sample form to see how it would work.
Are there vegan and gluten free options?
Most days we bake at least one vegan treat and a gluten free option. Tell us about allergies when you order and we will guide you.
Can I order ahead for pickup?
Yes. Call before 10 am and your order will be boxed and waiting at the counter.
Is the cafe dog and laptop friendly?
Dogs are welcome on the patio. Laptops are welcome on weekday mornings and afternoons, and we ask for shared tables on busy weekends.
Do you cater events?
We do breakfast boxes, desserts and private mornings. Call with your date and headcount and we will send a simple quote.
